Axanthic Carpet Pythons

Axanthic Carpet Pythons are one of the rarest morphs around.

Only a hand full of animals from this simple recessive bloodline exists. Due to the lack of all yellow and related pigments they are beautiful black, silver and white.

On top of that they seem to carry a hidden gene altering the pattern since they have a strong tendency to produce animals with very nice banding. We had another surprise happening here in the year 2005 when we produced the first Jaguars Het Axanthic: The whole clutch was completely striped- Jags and Siblings!

In the year 2007 we were able to confirm this trait to be recessive by breeding Axanthic x Het Axanthic.

Despite the beautifulness of Axanthics they will play a major role in the near future to produce new designer morphs. Imagine Axanthic Jaguars, Granites or even Snow Carpet Pythons.
